Przekrój Kino!

Wystawa „Przekrój kino!” ukazuje architekturę kin w kontekście zmieniających się potrzeb i oczekiwań widzów, wynikających z przemian społeczno-kulturalnych, gospodarczych i technologicznych. W przestrzeni pawilonu Zodiak zostały zaprezentowane tytułowe przekroje i rzuty architektoniczne, fotografie oraz archiwalne filmy. Całości dopełniają dwa oryginalne neony nieistniejących już kin.

Linearna konstrukcja ekspozytorów wykonana z metalowych rurek nadaje wystawie lekkości. Subtelnie wydobywa prezentowane treści i prowadzi widza przez kolejne działy. Naturalne, proste i surowe materiały wpisują się w charakter przestrzeni, ale też odnoszą się do epok o których opowiada wystawa.

The topic of ”A Cut of Cinema!” exhibition is the architecture of cinemas, which changes due to demands of spectators and fluctuations in science, economy or culture. Drawings and sections of the buildings as well as photos and movies from the archives were displayed in the ZODIAK Warsaw Pavilion of Architecture. The extra bonus are two original neons from the closed down cinemas. 

The construction of stands is made of metal profiles to provide a light and transparent arrangement. That network exposes the main content and is also a supportive guide for the viewers. Natural, raw and simple materials correspond with the architecture of the pavilion and refer to the period which the exhibition is about.
